This chapter was different from the, for lack of better words, usual ones.  I think that last sentence sums this chapter all up. Duncan just made the wrong choice and now I fear the friendship of him and Ramund is hanging by a thread. He would have to work hard to regain both respect and trust of his battle brother, if at all possible.

Misery aside, I very much enjoyed the flashback to the meeting between Ramund and Duncan. And quite the interesting conversation between the two. But I don't understand what is so bad about dying of old age among your family. I think I missed something here but I suspect you've explained this somewhere in the previous chapters.

Bottom line: A good continuation of the story and I am looking forward to the next events.
